FAQs
Q: Who are your clients?
A: I coach anyone who’s making or facing change in his or her life. Some examples are people in a job transition, people who want to make their job better, improve relationships at home or at work, those facing retirement or a single lifestyle after divorce, anyone needing to improve their health, someone adapting to a move to another part of the country.
Q: Where do you coach?
A: Coaching can be done in person or over the phone. It is very common to have telephone clients from all over the country. It is also possible to meet coaching clients in person, at their place of work or at a neutral location if you happen to be in the same city.
Q: What is a typical coaching session like?
A: No session is typical, however, during the process of coaching, you will be asked about what you’d like to achieve, and what is keeping you from reaching that goal. As the conversation develops, and as you respond to key questions, solutions unfold and opportunities for next steps become more evident. From that point, we work together to create an action plan, steps, and goals for achievement. I can act as an accountability partner, if you choose; sometimes that is appropriate, sometimes it isn’t. At the end of each call you will have a plan to get you closer to your goal. It is a dynamic process.
Q: How long do your coaching sessions last?
A: Coaching sessions last from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the depth of the topic.
Q: How many days per week will we meet?
A: Coaching sessions are usually one session per week, however, in special cases that can be modified to multiple sessions during a week.
Q: How long do I need to work with a coach?
A: Your needs are unique to you. The minimum amount of time that a successful coaching relationship lasts is three months. I do, however, have coaching clients that I’ve worked with for years, intermittently. As my client, you have the opportunity to renew a coaching relationship with me after we’ve achieved your goals at any time.
Q: How do I know that you’ll keep our sessions confidential?
A: As with all recognized and certified professions, coaching has a code of ethics that we follow with our clients. You can be assured that our coaching relationship will be protected and will operate under strict confidentiality. That is the only way a coaching relationship will work. Trust is the foundation of a coaching practice.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Coaching fees start at: 12 sessions (3 months) = $1140, 16 sessions (4 months) = $1440, and 20 sessions (5 months) = $1700. Individual sessions are available at $100 per session.
Q: How do we get started?
A: Feel free to go to the CONTACT section of this website, and we’ll get started together.
I am honored to work with you!
Sandy
